Paint.NET is a free advanced graphic editor program that offers many tools and filters for editing and creating images or photographs. It includes a multitude of adjustments, such as auto-level, black-and-white, brightness and contrast, curves, inverted colors, hue and saturation, levels, posterization, and sepia. The interface is clear and large; with windows containing editing tools at our disposal on the left side of the screen. Palette tools can be found in the bottom left while Image layers are at the bottom right. A History window with all our actions is present in the top right corner of the screen. We can access tools using both mouse or keyboard shortcuts to accelerate processes. It also offers the option to capture an image directly from cameras or scanners connected to the PC without an intermediary program's usage. Overall, Paint.NET can be considered a tool intermediate between Photoshop and Paint that provides more tools than paint without reaching Photoshop's level while being free to use. View More
