In February of 2014 version 2.11.169 of WhatsApp was launched, and since that version it is possible to set an option to hide to our contacts when was the last time we have been connected in WhatsApp,
Despite being a very simple configuration, there are many people who do not know how to access this setting, or that simply don't know that this possibility exists.
In Usitility we've make this simple tutorial where we explain how to hide WhatsApp last seen on Android.
Before we start with the instructions, it is important to clarify that if we enable this option, our contacts will not be able to see our last time connection to WhatsApp, and us can not be able to see when our contacts have been connected for the last time. That is to say, if we enable the option because we don't want others know when we have been connected in WhatsApp, we will not be able to see the last time connection of our contacts.
In summary: if we decide that others can't see our last connection, we'll not be able to see the last connection of our contacts.
Also keep in mind that this option does not prevent the other users to see if you are “online”. That is to say, if we open WhatsApp and another person opens a chat with us, on the top bar of WhatsApp our contact will see that we're “online”, also, we will be able to see when other users are online.
Steps to follow:
Within WhatsApp we will have to press “Menu” button of our mobile phone, and we'll see the following options: New chat, New group, New broadcast list, Contacts, Settings, Status,.
Click on the option Adjustments, and you will see the following options: Help, Profile, Account Info, Chat Settings.
Click on Account Info and the following list of options will appear: Privacy, Payment Info, Change number, Delete my account.
Click on Privacy and we'll see: Last seen, Profile Photo, Status.
Click on Last seen and we will see that “Everyone” option is checked.
Choose Nobody, and the program will be configured to not display the “last time connected” our contacts.
As simple as that. By following the steps mentioned above you can hide your last connection timestamp in WhatsApp.
