Should I Remove It is a simple program that displays a list of the programs installed on the PC, and show us if we should uninstall any of the programs listed.
Actually there is a multitude of programs that threaten the integrity of the user's PC. These malicious programs can affect the PC in very different ways. For example, it can display unwanted ads while we're surfing the Internet, or it can collect private information, or it can change the default search engine of our browser. To avoid this type of program is good to have a good antivirus or anti-spyware. Even so, it is also good to know what think other users about the suspicious program.
Should I Remove It analyzes our system for all of the programs that we have installed on the PC and shows what other users think about these programs. That is to say, it displays a percentage bar, which indicates the percentage of users that have voted the program as malicious, and therefore thinks it should be removed from PC. The percentage bar has several colors: green indicates that the program can be considered to be harmless; orange indicates that we probably need to uninstall and delete the specified program, and red indicates that we should remove that program as soon as possible.
As we discussed, these bars of percentage are created using user's opinions, so sometimes, a harmless program can have a red bar. This is because we probably have installed a version of the program that creates some kind of conflict or problem with the system, so users have voted that version of the program in a negative way. We need to keep in mind that the percentage bar that we see makes reference to the version of the program that we have installed. If for example, we have installed the program Prezi 2.0, and this version does not have any type of problem, we will see a green bar, but in contrast, if we have installed the version 3.0, which has some kind of problem, we will see an orange bar or red, because the users have voted this version of the program in a negative way.
If we click on the name of any program, a piece of brief information about it will be displayed: version number, date of installation, and size it occupies on the hard disk. Also, it shows 2 buttons: “What is it?”, which will open a web page with information about the program, and “Uninstall”, that will launch the process of uninstalling the program.
In the section of “Settings”, we can enable the option that allows this software to work resident in memory, so it can analyze all newly installed programs, without the need of launching the program. This option is called “Enable program alert notifications”.We can also activate the scheduler that enables this software to run automatically once a month, and check the programs installed on the PC, in addition, to check if there are new updates of this software. This option is called “Run Should I Remove it? on a schedule about once a month”.
This program is very easy to use, even for those users that don't understand English, due to the system of colored percentage bars used.
This software is free and can be used without any limitation.
