    Review NetBalancer

NetBalancer is a tool developed to perfectly control the bandwidth occupied by each application running on the computer to get the best possible experience. This platform will prevent your software installed on the computer from fighting for bandwidth, assigning priorities to the most important ones, and reducing the consumption of others.

Once we install this application in its trial version, we find an interface that is very well done, as it is clean to the eye, pleasant, and functional, allowing us to find the controls in just a few seconds. The screen is divided into two main sections, one in which we will see the list of installed programs that occupy bandwidth and the System Traffic information below it.

You can see how many programs we usually have installed on our computer and try to take most of the bandwidth, such as chatting or downloading different types of files. What happens is that according to your computer use at that moment or your needs, it will be imperative to prioritize one software or another.

NetBalancer has been designed precisely for these cases since it is a tool that quickly shows you how your computer's bandwidth consumption is segmented by employing real-time graphics and allows you to get a hand on it. Its top quality will enable us to determine priorities, increasing or decreasing the download or upload speed that all our installed programs have.

Let's suppose, for example, that you have installed classic download programs, such as Ares or eMule, and you notice that when you activate them and they are downloading or uploading content, your browser works much more slowly. Well, it is precisely this type of situation that NetBalancer helps to solve, limiting the consumption of these download programs so that you can continue using your PC as if nothing was happening in the background.

Then, we can determine an even greater difference between the priority levels from the Level Severity section. If you have not yet noticed the operation of NetBalancer, indeed, with this change, it becomes more noticeable. Of course, this application is especially interesting for people who use their bandwidth to the maximum. At the same time, if you have plenty of bandwidth, you won't experience too much difference.

Can I block Internet access completely? One of NetBalancer's primary functions is blocking your computer's access to the networks it is connected to. Thus, if you need to be without Internet in all your programs simultaneously, you need to click on the button provided for this purpose, and in just a second, you will get it.

Another aspect of this application that we found remarkable is the notification icons, which will tell us, for example, if one of the programs we have installed is approaching the consumption limit that we had assigned. And unlike what usually happens in other similar cases, this notification icon does not become intrusive, so we recommend keeping it active all the time.

We also positively evaluate that its developers are constantly releasing new versions and updates of NetBalancer, taking into account that it is a paid program, not too cheap, as we will see later, and it is fair that our investment is rewarded somewhere.

Unfortunately, however, we have to say that this program, unlike others related to the download of different files, does not allow setting a profile or several per user so as not always to have to make the same changes. We would have liked it to have some memory section or similar that would allow us to save a good amount of steps, and although this is not a severe problem, it is necessary to point it out.

In summary, we can say that some of the main features of this program have to do with the button that allows you to completely block the traffic of the applications, as well as the notification icons to be aware of all the news. As we mentioned before, we regret that it does not have an internal memory that allows it to remember our preferences.

We can say that NetBalancer is one of the best programs of its kind; maybe not the one we would even recommend to a novice user who has never tried a similar one before, but undoubtedly a complete one within this segment. If you want to set all kinds of priorities for the bandwidth consumption of your programs in Windows, do not doubt that this is a real Swiss army knife designed for it.

Remember that we said before that this is only a trial version, which we can have installed on our computer for two weeks, after which we will have to pay for the service if we want to keep it on the PC. Its cost is $49.95, and although we have already commented that it is excellent software, it seems to us somewhat excessive. We only recommend paying for it if it is beneficial.
