Unity Web Player is a program that allows us to run on the web browser the games developed with the engine Unity.

Unity is an engine of creation of video games that facilitates the development of video games in 3D and 2D. This engine allows us to take the control over the process of creating a video game, from the start to finish, allowing us to develop games for multiple platforms: iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Windows, Linux, Mac; and even game consoles: PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and WiiU.

Unity Web Player is installed on Windows or Mac OS X, and allows us to play in-browser video games that have been developed with the Unity engine. On Windows we can enjoy the Unitiy games on the next browsers: Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Safari. On Mac OS X we can play on the following browsers: Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

This program does not require any additional configuration, so it is only necessary to install and access a web page where there is a game developed with Unity. The browser will prompt us permission to run the plug-in. We must allow the execution of the plug-in, and the game will be loaded automatically on the browser.

We need to keep in mind that the games created with Unity can be very demanding and require a lot of memory or CPU usage, because that, depending on the characteristics of our Computer, it is possible that we may not be able to play some of the games, or the game run slow on our Computer.

This program opens the doors of our browser to a wide variety of video games of great quality. Adding the comfort of not be necessary to install the games on the computer, because these are automatically downloaded when we access the web game.

The software is free, although some of the games can require some kind of subscription to be able to play them.
